Before creating my coaching business, I was co-founder and director of an I.T. company.
With my business partners, we developed the business from zero to an annual 8-figure turnover and created jobs for more than 30 people.
This all sounds ‘rosy’ but I experienced tough times as well:
I struggled with high-levels of stress; had to manage challenging business problems; deal with problems in my personal life and on top of that I had to ensure that the business revenue and profit increased year on year.
Years ago, I was not in a good place: I was going through divorce, working very hours, stressed and 'burnt-out'.
I had always been confident and was able to make decisions easily, but I found that my confidence and energy had dropped. I struggled to get motivated and I couldn't see a bright future for myself or my business.
I knew I couldn't continue like that.
A close friend suggested that I hire a coach to help me. So I did, I found a coach, purchased a coaching programme and worked closely with my coach over the next few months.
Through the coaching process I became more confident, resourceful, focused and happier than I had ever been before.
My energy increased and I was able to create solutions to the challenges that I faced. I resolved each of the challenges.
I also created a vision for my life, which included a growth strategy for my I.T. business; an exit strategy from my I.T business and a plan to make an impact in other peoples' lives through coaching.
With my renewed focus, resourcefulness, and energy, my business partners and I developed the business to an annual 8-figure turnover.
Our customers were some of the largest companies in the UK and we won business awards.
I've had the privilege of:
Although I am proud of this, I am most proud of the ‘rock bottoms’ that I turned around in my business and personal life.
Times when people around me didn’t think it was possible.
I found my way to break-through each of the challenges that I faced and create new possibilities for me, my family and my businesses.
I learnt that much of what holds us back comes from how we see the world, so I learned to see things differently.
My journey helps me to appreciate how fun, but also how tough it can be to run a business.
Years later, I still regularly review and update my 5-year vision. For me, it's a proven process to guide my life in the direction that's important to me.
It's enabled me to become a certified Coach and for me to help people over-come the challenges that they face; define their future vision; and achieve their goals.
I'm a certified Coach and have the following accreditations:
