Generally, it refers to the practices we use and the choices we make that could both improve and maintain our health. A healthy lifestyle might typically involve following a balanced diet, exercising regularly, and caring for your mental and physical well-being.
As the health and wellness industry continues to grow, it’s now very easy to find information online. However, much of this is conflicting. Whilst many people will be able to make healthy choices and maintain a healthy life, others need some guidance. Food and health are always in the media but many of us lack the in-depth knowledge that enables us to make the right choices. I can help you to understand what it means to live a healthy lifestyle, and will guide you through the changes you need to make.

I will give you the motivation and support you need to live a healthy life. I will help you to achieve this goal through nutrition and lifestyle change.
I will also provide support for other issues associated with healthy living - such as weight management, career development, relationship issues, and stress / anxiety management.
Health coaching differs from personal training and counselling by promoting you as the expert in the partnership. It focuses on improving your quality of life rather than addressing an emotional or physical problem.
Healthy living involves making healthy choices in your daily life. When looking at behaviours that can put your health at risk, most people typically think of alcohol and substance abuse. Yet seemingly mundane habits, such as frequently focusing on negative thoughts, an unbalanced diet, a lack of exercise and too little sleep, can be just as harmful.
Whilst all of these behaviours are detrimental to your health, it’s the everyday habits that can be overlooked and can become dangerous in the long-term, leading to health problems. There are some lifestyle choices you can make that are relatively easy and, if they become habits, will have a positive impact on your daily life. These include:
- having an empowered mind-set
- following a balanced diet
- drinking plenty of water
- exercising regularly
- maintaining a good sleep schedule
- socialising and nurturing positive relationships
- having a good work/life balance
- practising self-care
