In this video, I’m going to walk you through 3 steps to help you create your very own morning routine for success in your Business.

You’ll be able to use this every day to ensure you set-up your day to win.

Creating a morning routine that includes activities to boost your mindset is the foundation of a great day!

I’ve found that my morning routine has been one of the most important elements to creating a successful business as I start my day with a positive mindset, looking forward to the day ahead.

The aim of this video is to walk you through the three steps to creating your own morning routine for success.

In the video I share some example activities you might want to consider adding to your routine, however as I mention in the video – it is important you think of other activities as well...

Example Morning Routing Activities

Here are some of the benefits for the morning routine activities I mention in the video:

  • Meditate

Helps to calm your mind and slow you down. This calmness can last well beyond the meditation and into to your day. There are many guided meditations online that you can search for. Some are only 10 to 15 minutes long. Try searching for ‘Guided Meditations’ on Google or YouTube.

  • Go For A Walk

This helps to wake you up in a gentle way. Helps to clear your mind; appreciate your surroundings; breathe fresh air and think about your day ahead. It's also a great opportunity to think about your goals for the day or week ahead without any interruptions.

  • Take A Cold Shower!

Taking a cold shower for just a few minutes can increase alertness. It can also boost your immune system as the body releases white blood cells. Try searching for 'The benefits of taking a cold shower' to learn more.

  • Read A Book That Inspires You

Reading about someone who inspires you can lift your spirits. For example in business – I read a number of auto-biographies by famous business leaders. The books provide a great insight into their world – their business, and just as important – their mindset!

  • Watch A Short Video That Inspires You

Watching an inspirational video first thing in the morning can give your mindset a ‘boost’. Some of these inspirational videos can be powerful and can help you to experience positive emotions as you watch them. You can find these types of videos by searching for them on YouTube.

  • Exercise

Is another great way to get your day off to a great start as exercising releases Endorphins (your body's feel-good chemicals). Being physically active can lift your mood, reduce stress and anxiety, and it can help improve self-esteem. Exercising can also be a good distraction from negative thoughts.

  • Write Your Thoughts In A Personal Journal

Capturing your thoughts by writing them in your journal will give you the perfect opportunity to reflect on your business and life. If you're stressed or worried about something, writing it down also helps to ‘extract’ the stress and worry. Try reading aloud what you have written down a few times as doing this can help you to look at the stress and worry from a different perspective. Some people after writing it down, find it helpful to then write down the truth about their stress and worry and then scribble out the original words that they wrote down, thus replacing the old negative/stressful thoughts with the truth.

  • Organise Your Goals

Doing this first thing in the morning provides a excellent opportunity to think about your business and life goals for the day or for the week ahead and organise them without any interruptions so that you keep on track towards achieving them.

  • Have A Cup Of Gingko Biloba Tea

Gingko Biloba tea has many benefits including helping reduce anxiety and stress. It’s good for the blood, body and brain – in-fact it’s sometimes referred to as ‘Memory Tea’ as it can help the brain function better.

  • Decide On A Random Act Of Kindness That You'll Do Today

Not many people focus on this on a daily basis, but It can be good for the soul to stop and think about other people around you that perhaps are going through a tough time. Just saying some kind words to them today or doing something helpful for them could really help them have a better day.

  • Ask Yourself Morning Questions

As part of my morning routine I ask myself one question about the day before and one question about the current day. I ask different questions each day. I’ve found this an enlightening experience as it has brought greater happiness and purpose to each day - not only in my personal life but also in my business.

Here are some questions to get you started:

    • What surprised me yesterday?
    • What worked for me yesterday?
    • What didn’t work for me yesterday?
    • What will I do more of today?
    • What will I do less of today?
    • Who can I help today?

I'm curious...
