The Journey of Self-discovery
In this blog I wanted to talk about the importance of self discovery. I believe we are each here on this planet for a reason. There is a special purpose for each of us. That purpose can sometimes be difficult for us to discover. However, through personal experience I can say you’ll find your purpose in your heart. It’s the place where you can be vulnerable and be open. To truly open your heart is a special and a magical experience. To connect with yourself at the deepest level is where love is, and where you will discover the answers to the questions you have. You can then find your purpose and explore why you are here.
I wish I had discovered this years ago! But then again maybe I knew it and chose to ignore it! Duh!
So how can you connect with yourself and your heart? How can you tap into the energy within?
I am sure there are many ways however, one exercise that I find helpful is to place both hands on your heart, close your eyes, breathe deeply and be truly grateful. Be grateful for your life, the people in it, the wonderful experiences you have, the experiences that are yet to happen and the person you are about to become. If you have any unanswered questions then ask yourself and wait for the response (the response may come to you later in the day).
I want to share this incredible exercise from Tony Robbins called “Heart Breathing” it will take you on a journey where you will have an opportunity to connect with yourself….magic!...enjoy! Click here: Heart Breathing Exercise or in the video shown below.
The Power of Vulnerability
Keeping with the theme of vulnerability I wanted to share this inspiring TED talk from Researcher Brene Brown who during a research project initially focused on human connection went on a journey of self-discovery and discovered the power of vulnerability. I hope you enjoy this as much I did. Click here: Brene Brown - TED Talk
Kev’s BLOG Tip - Productivity:
This is a new feature that will appear in my blogs from now on. These are tips where I share something that has either helped me or my clients to make an improvement in life. In this blog I wanted to share a productivity tip. I have always liked to read books but have sometimes struggled to get the time I wanted to read and those books I bought sat on the shelf gathering dust! A few years ago I discovered Audible (I am sure there are other platforms by the way). Using Audible I was able to download audio books and listen to them on the move…in my car…on the train or just walking. I have since listened to over 20 books (some three times!). My learning progress has gone through the roof! Why not give it a go?!
